The Capital Market Journalists’ Forum (CMJF) of Bangladesh is a professional organization of journalists who specialize in reporting on the country’s financial market especially capital market, including stock exchanges, regulators, listed companies, and investment trends. Established on 8 December 2008 and registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, CMJF was formed to enhance the quality, depth, and ethical standards of capital market journalism. The forum works to promote transparency and accountability in the market by encouraging accurate, analytical, and responsible reporting that helps investors and the wider public better understand market developments. CMJF regularly organizes training programs, workshops, seminars, and dialogues with regulators, policymakers, and market stakeholders to build members’ professional capacity and improve financial literacy as well as investors’ understanding. It also plays an advocacy role on issues related to journalistic access, professional rights, and the free flow of market information. Through its collective reporting, engagement, and capacity-building initiatives, CMJF has become an important institutional voice in strengthening capital market discourse and investor awareness in Bangladesh.
